For first estimations and for various testing, a monochrome CCD with vga resolution (AVT Marlin 033b) was installed. The following tests were performed:

• OTR target: polished stainless steel and aluminium (10 µm on Kapton) foil ; Al2O3 screen for comparison
• OTR targets of stainless steel in different angles (45° / 50° / 55° / 60°)
• Carbon stripping foils of different thicknesses (370 µg/cm² ; 571 µg/cm² ; 563 µg/cm²)
• Various number of particles per pulse for stress tests of the target material
• Various timing for measuring/ excluding thermal afterglow
