The Libera is a data acquisition and beam position processor system used for the BPMs in different accelerators and transfer lines. It was developed by the Slovenian company Instrumentation Technologies and adapted and enhanced for FAIR applications as an in-kind contribution. For the retrofit of the GSI's SIS18 and ESR the Liberas meanwhile also replaced the old BPM systems.
