===== Context =====

| Here discribed electronic builds the front end beetween hardware of an air pressure drive that moves different diagnostic device into a vacuum pipe and the controlling PLC system. It enables fast replacement of defect parts a the drive by simular normalizised spare parts by plug and play and some cable ties. It although ensures strightly hardware based interlocking of up to six drives blocking each others if necessary to prevent in chamber collisions, for example at on vacuum chamber. No high end electronic has to be placed close to beamline with possible hard radiation ocourring.| <color white>XX</color> | Die hier beschriebene Elektronik bildet das Frontend zwischen der elektromechanischen Hardware eines Pressluftantriebes, um Diagnoseinstrumente in das Vakuumrohr mit dem Partikelstrahl einzufahren und der steuernden SPS-Einheit. Sie ermöglicht den schnellen Austausch defekter Antriebselemente durch standardisiert Ersatzteile. Weiter ermöglicht das Frontend über den Sechsfachverteiler eine hardwarenahe Interlockblockierung von bis zu sechs Antrieb gegeneinander, um ggf. Kollisionen in der Vakuumkammer durch Software- bzw. Verbindungsfehler zu vermeiden. Die Überwachung der zum Fahren notwendigen Pressluft am Nutzort ist durch Anschluss optionaler Pressluftschalter möglich. Der Einsatz der recht elementaren Elektronik am Strahlrohr vermeidet Strahlungsschäden. |  

===== PA-Terminal =====

|**PA-Terminal**: This small electronics will be mounted at future drives driven by compressed air. PA-Terminal is seated direct at the drive and enables by several ports fast exchange of endposition sensors, pressure switch and magnet valve cabling at the drive. Apart from the very straight hardware based sensor signals that are passed through to a PLC cotrol in far distance that device includes a micro contoller based movement counter. It's counts and ID are stored in EEProm to be present even if that drive is not in use laying in a stock. A feature is the possibily to remortly read it out by an RS485 field bus. Thus maintanance personal can read out the counters without need of direct inspection. Because this device is close to beam line the programming does excecute continiously redundency tests of stored values in three different places including the number of failures detected thereby. Of cause this movement values are registered parallel in accelarator control system.| <color white>XX</color> | **PA-Terminal**: Diese kleine Terminalbox wird an den für die FAIR-Anlage bestimmten Pressluftantrieben montiert sein. Einerseits werden dort sehr direkt Hardwaresignale wie Endlagenschalter, Pressluftschalter und Magnetventil an die entfernte SPS-Steuereinheit weiter gereicht. Andererseits beinhaltet die Box eine Microcontroller gesteuerte, achtstellige Hubzählanzeige. Dieser Zählerstand und die Terminal-ID werden im internen EEPROM gespeichert, sodass sie im Antrieb erhalten bleiben, selbst wenn dieser inaktiv gelagert wird. Eine neue Eigenschaft ist Fernauslesbarkeit über den robusten RS485-Feldbus: auf diese Weise kann das Servicepersonal Hubzählerstände, die für den Lebensdauer des Federtbalges relevant sind, auch aus der Ferne auslesen. Da diese Elektronik beschleunigenahe agiert, führt der Microcontroller kontinuierliche Redundanztest seiner dreifach gespeicherten Werte durch. Selbstverständlich sollen die Pressluftfahrten auch über die SPS im beschleunigerfernen Kotrollsystem gespeichert werden, so aber ist gewährleistet, dass der Zählstand eines Preslufantriebes auch noch bekannt ist wenn er einmal an einer ganz anderen Stelle eingesetzt wird. \\ <color white>Fülltext</color>|

| **Six fold node**: This metall box placed close to diagnostic chambers collecs up to 6 single pressure drive control cables to a bigger one that is the connection to the PLC apart from the beamline. It has for each of the possible 6 drives a port for hard wired blocking one of the other drives in case of use of first: Cause diagnostic devices carried by pressured air drives might varry at an experimental accelarator this prevents collisions in one chamber completly seperate from any software or comunnication faults. |  <color white>XX</color> |** Sechsfachverteiler ** : Diese kleine Metallbox ist nahe der Diagnosekammern mit ihren zumeist mehreren Pressluftantrieben plaziert: An ihr werden bis zu sechs Einzelpressluftsteuerkabel gesammelt und mittels eines größeren Steuerkabels an die SPS in der Ferne übergeben. Die Box hat für jeden der bis zu sechs anschliessbaren Pressluftantriebe einen Blockierstecker: Diese ermöglichen die Fahrt eines Antriebes hardwarenahe zu unterbinden, wenn bereits ein anderer Antrieb eingefahren ist. Dies kann an einer Experimentanlage schnell notwendig werden, wenn in der Diagnosekammer eingesetzte Elemente später noch größer werden und so Kollisionen möglich sind. Die Hartwarenähe garantiert dabei Unfälligkeit gegen Software- und Kommunikationsfehler. \\ <color white> Fülltext </color>|
