Radiation Tests at BIF-Installations along the UNILAC

The image intensified cameras of the BIF monitors and some more electronic devices are installed near the beamlines. This sometimes leads to temporal or total damages of devices.

Radiation measurements were performed near BIF-Monitors and near to a PLC satellite in TK6, which has to be installed in the tunnel near the beamline.

• Measurement of neutrons and photons for 3 months of beamtime at BIF TK6 : BIF TK6_Juli-Okt 2009
• Measurement of neutrons and photons for 9 months of beamtime at all BIFs: BIF ALL_März-Nov 2011 where TK6 'davor' is the PLC in TK6 and 'danach' is the BIF monitor
• Measurement of photons for ~1 year (2011)of beamtime at UNILAC tunnel wall: BIF UNILAC Photons_2011
