Lasa (Large Scaler Array) is a dedicated FESA class to read latching scalers:
continuous readout
hardware synchronization with a CMD_SEQ_START and/or CMD_BP_START event of a defined timing group using the first scaler channel
handles multiple timing groups
registers all machine events via FTRN
sorts data according to beam process or sequence (best method to be determined later)
latching frequency 1kHz for operational mode with multiple scalers (VME)
handles additional hardware (i.e.
VDIO) via subsets
