====== Piezo Valves ====== We recently purchased a piezo-valve at Oxford Applied Reserach and started tests at the\\ dedicated gauge calibration chamer of the UHV-department. A first characteristic of the\\ piezo valve was recorded with three different gauges independently. The valve was hooked\\ to a nitrogen supply with 1750 mbar pressure. The work was done in collaboration with the\\ UHV-department, in particular with Marc Wengenroth. (//[[Frank.Becker@gsi.de|Frank]]//) ===== Update - Power Supply ===== It was shown that the orignial Oxford Applied PLV-1000 pulser is not suitable for any\\ pulsed operation due to several design issues. There was a workarround provided by the\\ company to bypass the controller-bord. Meanwhile a GSI homemade solution was developed,\\ based on a HV-Behlke switch with even better results.
